What should I bring with me to my fitting appointment?
To ensure the best fit for your stunning gown, please bring your shoes and any undergarments you plan to wear on your special day, including shapewear, bras, hosiery, and tape. Having these items with you is key to a perfect alteration process. If you don’t have them during your appointment, we’ll need to reschedule.
I don’t see an address on your website. Where are you located?
My home studio is nestled in the vibrant heart of historic Cincinnati! Once you have signed the contract and paid the fitting fee, I’ll send you a heartfelt welcome email with all the studio details. I aim to create a truly personalized experience and look forward to perfecting your dream gown!
Can my children/maid of honor/mother come with me?
At Bespoke Bridal Alterations, I want to ensure your fitting experience is as enjoyable and personal as possible. To maintain a personalized and relaxing atmosphere, I kindly request that children and pets remain at home during your fittings. However, I welcome you to bring one adult guest for your fittings. This is an excellent opportunity for them to accompany you during the alteration process. At the final fitting, they will learn how to bustle your gown, ensuring you look stunning on your wedding day. Ideally, choose a family member, close friend, or trusted bridal party member who can best support you on this special occasion. I appreciate your understanding!
I see that you require payment in full up front. Are there exceptions to this?
Although there are no exceptions, this policy ensures a seamless timeline for completing your gown. Following our in-person consultation and initial fitting, payment is due in full before alterations commence. Rest assured, the lines of communication are open at every step. You will have the final say on any suggested modifications before we proceed, ensuring that your vision remains at the forefront.
For your convenience, I accept various payment methods, including credit cards, Venmo, PayPal, and cash. Please note that payments made via apps and cards incur a 2.5% processing fee; both state and federal taxes are applied at a rate of 7.5%.
My wedding is in two weeks; can you help me?!
I'm thrilled by the incredible demand for my services! This means that my schedule can fill up quickly, up to a year or more in advance! Due to this, my availability for rush alterations is limited and may incur additional fees, depending on the urgency and complexity of the work. To ensure your wedding preparations go smoothly, I strongly recommend booking your appointment as soon as you finalize your wedding date, ideally no later than immediately after purchasing your dress. While it’s never too early to start the process, I want to ensure you don’t miss the chance to book me! If unavailable, I am happy to recommend some wonderful colleagues in the local bridal community who can assist you.
I can’t find any information on your website about pricing. How much will my alterations cost?
Due to the unique nature of each gown and the individual needs of each bride, it isn’t possible to provide a comprehensive list of pricing. Alterations can vary widely, so estimates and pricing are provided on an individual basis to each bride after her first fitting. I must be able to take measurements, discuss alteration needs and customization desires, and access each particular gown so that I can provide accurate quotes.
Do you also offer alterations for mothers of the bride, bridesmaids, and grooms?

Is cleaning included? Do you offer gown preservation?
Cleaning a wedding gown is a specialized service that requires a careful approach due to the meticulous nature of the process. Each fabric type requires mindful attention. I can utilize specially designed fabric cleaners, such as Retro Clean, which are gentle solutions specifically formulated to effectively remove yellow and brown age stains from washable materials. Please note that I do not offer dry cleaning services; therefore, gowns with extensive or set-in stains cannot be accommodated.
Gown preservation is not currently offered at my studio; this service will be available in 2026. In the meantime, I am pleased to recommend a trusted local boutique, BoChic Bridal, which can assist with this vital service. Your gown deserves the utmost care and expertise, and I am here to ensure it receives just that.
